This paper deals with a previously known votive verse inscription from Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa, the first Dacian colonia. The monument contains indications as to what kind of offerings were to be presented to the Dea Caelestis and what to the rest of the gods. Although the overall sense of the text is clear, it is possible to syntactically analyse it in a couple of different ways, which has caused for its meaning and purpose to remain somewhat uncertain. After going through all possible analyses and interpretations and the issues they present, a new edition — which could solve them — is proposed.
